my top ten fall book releases

Hi!

So, here’s the thing. Tomorrow is a big day in the AG world. We have Caroline, the newest historical doll, coming out, as well as all of the winter clothing and accessories. So, you see, I had to keep tomorrow open so that I could talk about the new American Girl items.

And, then I saw that the topic this week for The Broke and the Bookish’s Top Ten Tuesday was Fall Book Releases, which is about the only Top Ten I participate in. {just kidding!} Thus, I am posting a Top Ten Tuesday on a MONDAY. I’m a rebel, I know :)

Here’s what I’m looking out for this fall, in order of release…

The Great Unexpected

The Great Unexpected by Sharon Creech | September 4

Sharon Creech is an amazing author, and I’m sure I will enjoy her latest book out tomorrow. The characters have already caught my eye, and the plot sounds intriguing. It’s a middle grade read, so I can finish it in one night.

Burn for Burn

Burn for Burn by Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian | September 18

Yay! I am still patiently waiting to read Siobhan Vivian’s The List, but now I learn she has another book coming out? And it’s written in collaboration with Jenny Han?! Those authors sure know how to make me happy :)

Safekeeping

Safekeeping by Karen Hesse | September 18

This stood out to me because of the gloominess of the cover. It may not become my favorite book, but it will make for an interesting read.

Unlocking the Spell: A Tale of the Wide-Awake Princess

Unlocking the Spell by E.D. Baker | October 2

E.D. Baker has and always will be one of my most favorite authors of all time. Really, guys, I LOVED her books in elementary school. I still like to keep up with the series, so I will definitely be checking this one out of the public library.

The Spindlers

The Spindlers by Lauren Oliver | October 2

I have yet to read Liesel & Po {it’s in my sister’s bookshelf, waiting for me to read it.} but I will have to put another Lauren Oliver book on my TBR list. The Spindlers seems to have all the elements of a classic fantasy novel. Plus, aren’t you digging the girl’s vest? :)

Eve and Adam

Eve and Adam by Michael Grant and Katherine Applegate | October 2

I have been a humongous fan of Katherine Applegate ever since she won me over with her book, The One and Only Ivan. Eve and Adam looks really good, as well. I’m thinking I should buy it on my Kindle when it comes out.

Mr. Terupt Falls Again

Mr. Terupt Falls Again by Rob Buyea | October 9

The first book made me cry. It was that good. I’m now sure you all understand why I NEED to read the squeal.

The Red Blazer Girls: The Secret Cellar

The Secret Cellar by Michael D. Beil | October 9

The Red Blazer Girls always have me laughing. The series is something I turn to when someone needs a good middle grade read, so I was beyond excited when Michael D. Beil announced he was writing another book.  And why shouldn’t I be excited? Sophie, Margaret, and Rebecca are back :)

Out of Reach

Out of Reach by Carrie Arcos | October 16

Isn’t that cover stunning? I’m going into reading it without any clue what’s going on, only because I picked it for this list solely based off the cover.

Game Changer

Game Changer by Margaret Peterson Haddix | October 16

I feel like I can never keep up with Margaret Peterson Haddix. She’s always writing more and more books! :) Her newest one looks really interesting, and I’m excited to read it when it comes out!

Have a delightful afternoon!
Bella :)
