Hello!

1 ♥ S’mores Ice Cream Continuing on my s’mores fun from last month, I tried s’mores ice cream earlier this week, and it was delicious. However, I didn’t catch the brand, so I have been on a search to find a suitable homemade recipe to try! I’m thinking that this one from Oh, Ladycakes looks promising, but I am open to any and all suggestions. Other ice cream flavors I have been loving? Chocolate chip cookie dough {new favorite} and a classic chocolate {old favorite} :)2 ♥ Sugar Hill Co’s Blog Train I absolutely love when Sugar Hill Co’s birthday blog train rolls around because there are just so many freebies to download! From back to school clipart to nature inspired papers, I am quite happy with the selection this year. Whether you’re simply taking a peek or you need certain pieces for your own projects, do check it out.
3 ♥ Sense and Sensibility I have loved many of the Jane Austen film adaptations that I have seen, so I was totally on board when a friend suggested we watch the 1995 version of Sense and Sensibility. I was surprised that I hadn’t heard of it before, especially since it stars so many famous actors! Nevertheless, I enjoyed it quite a bit. It’s a love story at its best, right?! :) I am now planning to tackle the actual book this fall or winter; Pride and Prejudice and Emma were both outstanding, so I’m hoping I will like this story just as much.
4 ♥ Open Road Summer and We Were Liars I’ve been meaning to mention these two books in a Love List for a while now, especially since I read them way back in June! Sometimes I just don’t get the time to write a review, but I loved these ones so much I knew they were worthy of a shout-out. Open Road Summer is ideal reading for laid-back weekends, due to the terrific friendship, country music theme, and adorable romance. Emery Lord is now an author I know to watch out for! On a different note, We Were Liars was a risky idea for E. Lockhart to take, but I think she ultimately nailed it. It’s left me a bit speechless still, weeks after reading it! Please do yourself a favor, and put both of these at the top of your to-be-read list. {Need more convincing? Click here and here for some terrific reviews.}
{I love this fictional poster; it captures the mood of the festival perfectly!}
5 ♥ The Newport Jazz Festival Finally, I can’t wait to head to Newport this weekend to see the Newport Jazz Festival! My family and I went last year, and I enjoyed it much more than I expected. I am worn out from my busy week, so I am excited for a fairly relaxed day! Of course, a stop to the Newport Cookie Company in the afternoon helps too :) Have you been to any music festivals this year?
Have a lovely start to your August!

I’ve actually been to my first two festivals in the space of a week this year- UK Live in Weston – Super – Mare, and the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, where I played :) I love this post, and will definitely be checking out the books :)

Is it weird to love your love list? BECAUSE YOU GOT ME AT S’MORES ICE CREAM.
ICE CREEEEEEEAM.
I need that omg the photo… yum. I’ve recently watched Pride and Prejudice (the Kiera Knightley version) and that kindled in a newfound interest in the 19th century. Wish I could read some Jane Austen this year but oh boy, they are huge books!!
Have a great ahead :))

If you like that sense and sensibility you have to see the other one, it is better cast for the ages, and I like it better :) I think it is a two parter, BTW.
