Happy Friday!

The Love ListI’m loving…

Inside Out Poster1 ♥ Inside Out With its colorful promotional posters, adorable animated characters, and superb, developed premise, Disney-Pixar’s latest film, Inside Out, has already won my heart – and I haven’t even seen it yet! Following a young girl and her range of emotions {they are voiced by a hilarious cast of stars, including Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, and Bill Hader}, Inside Out hits theaters tomorrow in its nation-wide release. Pixar rarely fails to deliver, and the previews I’ve seen and the early reviews I’ve read all promise a remarkable movie. I’ll leave you with a snippet from this New York Times review, which best sums up my excitement over the film: “The movie, directed by Pete Docter, solves a thorny philosophical problem with the characteristically Pixaresque tools of whimsy, sincerity and ingenious literal-mindedness.” YES, please.

Teens Tell Their Story Teens Tell Their Story I’m continually impressed with the kindness, creativity, and intelligence of other bloggers, and nothing makes me happier than connecting with a fellow teen writer – or writers! And so, I am delighted to share about the Teens Tell Their Story feature, a fun project created and run by bloggers Caitlin and Sherina. The goal of their project is to grow a community of bloggers, as they ask and answer prompts each week this summer; the first post kicks off in July. I am wrapping up my school year, so I haven’t decided whether or not I will sign up, but I didn’t think it would hurt to pass along the information if you’re interested yourself!

J.Crew New Arrivals3 ♥ J.Crew Factory’s New Arrivals Never a month goes by without a stop to J.Crew Factory – even if I don’t buy anything, I love “window-shopping” for my own outfit inspiration! When a trip to the store doesn’t fit in the schedule, however, new arrivals online are just as nice of a surprise. Here are a few of my select favorites from the rollout earlier this week. Positive person I am, yellow is one of my favorite colors; add in the embroidered shorts trend, and I’m sold. Another item that caught my eye is the tile top. I’m always adding the J.Crew collector tees to my wardrobe, and this one seems so summery. Finally, I love this medallion print dress from the Crewcuts line, as the color palette is so pretty. Do you like anything from the Factory new arrivals? And are we anxious, excited, or not at all interested in the J.Crew changes that have been in the news as of late?

4 ♥ Summer Vacation These last few weeks of the academic year have dragged on, but that only means my final day of school will be all the more satisfying! I have four finals – American History, French, Algebra, and Art – to wrap up on Monday and Tuesday, and then I will begin my long wished for {and hopefully well-deserved!} summer break. What’s on my agenda? I hope to make time for reading, blogging, designing, and traveling with family and friends. I’m looking forward to a few months off from the hectic months of the school year! What are you doing in July and August?

Happy Father's Day (1){via}

5 ♥ Father’s Day Finally, Father’s Day is coming up on Sunday, and, as I have done in years past, I like to send some love to my dad and two grandfathers in preparation :) I hope you have a wonderful weekend, whether you are celebrating with your own father, with another loved one, or just for the start of summer.

  1. Inside Out sounds like such a cute movie, and I do hope that I get to see it eventually. Also, I hope you do awesome on your finals. You can do it! I just finished mine, and it was really stressful, so I’m relieved that I can finally relax and have more time to read.

  2. OH MY GOSH INSIDE OUT. I’ve been planning to watch the movie since I saw the trailer 2 months ago. I love the story and I have a feeling the ending is sad, lol :P Anyway, the movie doesn’t release at my hometown till July I think? I’m not so sure. Do you plan on watching it? I love Pixar movies!
