Hello!
1 ♥ Chocolate Chip Bread We have a lovely bakery in town, and my family has recently tried their Chocolate Chip Bread. It is just so YUMMY! :) Obviously, it would be silly {and not very healthy} to keep buying a loaf, so I am looking for a homemade recipe to try when the mood strikes. The Cinnamon Swirl Chocolate Chip Bread from Sally’s Baking Addiction looks like a good one to try, although I would love to hear any suggestions!
2 ♥ Saving Mr. Banks I had wanted to see Saving Mr. Banks when it was first in theaters, but I just never made it. Thankfully, I found it in my Easter basket last weekend, ready for a spring vacation movie night :) I enjoyed it quite a bit, even more so than I was expecting! Telling the story of how Mary Poppins came to the big screen, both Emma Thompson as P.L. Travers, the author, and Tom Hanks, as Walt Disney, did a superb job acting. I also liked the gorgeous set and props; they truly brought the story to life. Now, my interest has been piqued in the book! Have you read it?
3 ♥ New Hair Accessories I’ve love doing my hair, whether it’s trying out a new braid or throwing it up in a bun. Over the past couple of years, I’ve started to use more hair accessories as well! I think an update is always welcome, so my new scrunchies from American Eagle {shown above} and headbands from Vera Bradley have both been refreshing sources of inspiration. I’ve especially taken a liking to the VB headbands. They are wonderful for dressing up a ponytail, and, better yet, they don’t fall off easily.
4 ♥ Angie MakesIn a late night search for clip art, I came across the lovely blog, Angie Makes! While I love her blog themes and vector images, it was her free images that first caught my attention. With graphics to make for two sites, I take advantage of any free clip art I can find, but there not always the prettiest. Angie’s is gorgeous and just my style! My personal favorite is this collection of pretty watercolor florals.
5 ♥ Flip-Flops With May fast approaching, I pulled out my first pair of flip-flops and treated my feet and nails to a pedicure earlier this week. {My choice in nail color? OPI’s Kiss Me I’m Brazilian} I think it’s exciting, as it’s a sign that a warmer season is on its way! :)
Have a terrific night!
