Hi!
Or as I like to call it, “The Ultimate Summer Reading Post!” :)
The Broke and the Bookish is, as always, hosting Top Ten Tuesday. {which, like usual, I like to post on a Monday.} This week’s topic is “The Top Ten Books on Your Summer TBR List.” – Summer, for me anyways, as in the season of summer, which runs from June 21 to September 22. I love these posts because I am always looking forward to new books! Anyhoo, I included the ten releases I am most looking forward to reading, as well as the large piles {yes, piles.} of books in my room currently waiting to be read. What are you hoping to read this summer?
Famous Last Words by Jennifer Salvato Doktorski // July 2
I have yet to read How My Summer Went Up In Flames, but Jennifer Salvato Doktorski’s other book looks too fun not to include! The storyline sounds entertaining and cute.
Moxie and the Art of Rule Breaking by Erin Dionne // July 11
I loved Erin Dionne’s book in the past, and her summer release looks like another winner. As the mystery lover I am, I can’t see myself not liking the book, but we will have to see!
Listening for Lucca by Suzanne LaFleur // August 6
Suzanne LaFleur impressed me with her other books, Love Aubrey and Eight Keys, so I have no doubt that her next book will make me want to cry too. LaFleur’s writing is outstanding, and her stories have such strong messages.
The Infinite Moment of Us by Lauren Myracle // August 20
I hadn’t heard of Lauren Myracle in a while, and at one point I was worried that her next book wouldn’t come out for another year or so, but then The Infinite Moment of Us popped up! :) I love the cover, just as I am sure I will love the book as well.
Counting by 7s by Holly Goldberg Sloan // August 29
This is being compared to some of my favorite books in the past, so I am going to try to get it from the library as soon as it comes out. Whether I like it or not, the story sounds very interesting!
Starry Nights by Daisy Whitney // Sep 3
I keep hearing about Daisy Whitney {what other books of her’s should I read?} but it wasn’t until I read about Starry Nights that I was motivated to read one of her novels. I think it is all the blogger peer pressure, to be honest :)
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell // September 10
There are literally no words for how excited I am for Rainbow Rowell’s Fangirl. No. Words. In the meantime, my review of Eleanor and Park can be seen here.
The Show Must Go On! by Kate and M. Sarah Klise // Sep 10
The Klise sisters are known for their adorable stories told through letters, newspapers, emails etc. They started writing a new series, and ever since I learned about it earlier this year, I can’t wait to read it!
United We Spy by Ally Carter // September 17
Ooh. Gallagher Girls Book Six {book five review here}! Is anyone else just as impatient for this as I am?! On the other hand, I am a bit sad that this is the last book. Conflicting feelings…
This Song Will Save Your Life by Leila Sales // September 17
Finally, Leila Sale’s This Song Will Save Your Life has me intrigued. The cover and synopsis drew me in.
Before I can get to all of those new releases, I have these four lovely piles of books to get to first! Have you read any of the following novels?
Finally, for summer reading, school-wise, I am re-reading A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, and then deciding between 13 Reasons Why, Son of the Mob, and The Secret Life of Bees.
Whew! Lots of reading to be done. But that’s what summer is for, right?!
Have a happy rest of your Monday!
Wow! That is a lot of books! :D But I like lots of books and when you post about books because it’s how I find out about other books that are out there that I have never heard of before so that I can read them too! :) Wow, that was a long sentence. :P

P.S. I read Sparrow Road and loved it!

I know the feeling! So many good books to tackle this summer, it’s hard to know where to start! I really need to read Anna and the French Kiss this summer, too. I see it on so many TTT lists, I need to know what all the fuss is about!

ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS! I have read it 5 times, planning on a 6th, and I love it more everytime. If you want a fun book that makes you feel good, read it like ASAP! I reviewed it here if you are interested. Also dressed Anna for fun. :-)
Pivot Point, The Elite, Thirteen Reasons Why and Just One Day are AWESOME reads! Loved them all.
As for Daisy Whitney her two book series The Mockingbirds and Rivals is really good. I would recommend them for sure.
