my top nine books to be made into movies & other ramblings

Happy first day of May :) I’m counting down the days until summer. {squeal!} Although, I have to admit, 50 degree weather and rain is not my way of starting May off.

Anyhoo, I am participating in The Broke and the Bookish’s Top Ten Tuesday on, guess what? A Tuesday! We can just skip over the fact that it is only nine books, instead of ten. {Glee is starting soon, and you all know how much I like Glee.} This week’s topic was Top Ten Books That Should Be Made Into Movies. Not only was this fun to think of, {I’m always saying that “Random Book should be made into a movie!” :)} I had a blast looking through a handful of the other blogs and their ideas. What would you like to see in theaters?

If I Stay by Gayle Forman

This would be a huge tear-jerker, but I would love to see it in a movie all the same. I always saw Lucy Hale as Mia and Nick Jonas as Adam, but there’s plenty of actors out there that could play the roles as well.

Heist Society by Ally Carter

Ally Carter is hands-down one of the best YA authors. For real. Heist Society would be so fun to see with my friends, and I think with the right cast and crew, it could be pulled off. I never really thought of who would play the lead roles, however. Thoughts?

The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart

I’m surprised that this hasn’t been made into a movie yet. Animated or not, I could totally see this series being made into a few movies.

I’d Tell You I Love You, But Then I’d Have to Kill You by Ally Carter

I know there have been rumors that this was going to be made into a movie, but there has been no recent news :( With that being said, wouldn’t Dianna Agron make a FAB Cammie?

The Wide-Awake Princess by E.D. Baker

Pixar, guys. Pixar.

Savvy by Ingrid Law

I actually haven’t read this in a while, but from what I can remember, the storyline and characters are so unique that it would surely make a good movie. The technical aspects would have to be pretty superb for this to work…

Sidekicks by Jack D. Ferraiolo

This is another book that could be animated or not, and still be such a funny movie. I always imagined Scott as Dash from The Incredibles :) Did I mention that the author worked on WordGirl? Total entertainment experience.

11 Birthdays by Wendy Mass

Oh, how wonderful would it be to see Wendy Mass go to the big screen?! All of her books have promise, but I think the Willow Falls series has the most potential. It could also work as a TV movie.

Cinder by Marissa Meyer

I’m cheating on this one because I’m only halfway through ;) It is extremely good thus far, and I can already picture it as a movie. Harry Shum Jr. should totally play Prince Kai.

While we are on the subject of books, I recently finished Perfect by Ellen Hopkins. I would love to fully review it, but it’s close to impossible to fit it in. It was very well-written, to say the least.

Now, on to Smash. He proposed! He proposed. Once more, for good measure. He proposed! Oh, if only the certain someone would say yes. {Names are not included for those who haven’t seen it yet.}

Oh, and this totally slipped my mind yesterday. This marks my 101st blog post :)
