5/17: Updated to fix some silly mistakes!

For this month’s Style Snapshot, I’m excited to showcase all of the gorgeous floral prints available! May is the month of blooming, and I think that the beauty of the outdoors really translates nicely into different pieces. Each item has been paired with corresponding items that make a complete outfit. Do you like florals, and if so, have you been spotting them this month? :)

When wearing such a bold pattern on the bottom, it’s important to keep the rest of your outfit neutral. A basic tee and understated flip-flops let the shorts shine on their own!

Floral patterns are so easy to wear on top, as long as you continue to keep the rest of your outfit coordinated. When it is breezy in the morning, a cardigan does the trick {and it looks stunning against the cami!}, and it can easily be taken off later in the afternoon.

Finally, a gorgeous, embroidered dress deserves to stand out on its own. To keep it simple, I recommend going with a basic pink flat and an easy, but still very pretty, hairstyle. A light pink cardigan would look adorable as well :)

March seems to be a month of braids, don’t you think? From the classic French braid to the newer Fishtail, braids are being reinvented daily, and I love testing them out myself. I thought it was only appropriate for the February Style Snapshot to be Valentine’s Day themed! :) What I love about Valentine’s Day is that with a simple pink/red accessory, you are all set and ready to go! a 2013 trends round-up

Hello!

For this month’s Style Snapshot, I decided to focus on some of the biggest trends this year. I went with a color {Emerald Green}, a print {Wild Florals}, and an accessory trend {Mini Handbags}. Of course, there are plenty more. Let’s chat :) What are some of your favorites so far?

Emerald has been officially named “The 2013 Color of the Year,” and it has been popping up everywhere. You could go all out, like with the printed dress, or use it in smaller portions like having it be the sole of your shoe. Personally, I like this color green with darker denim, but it also suits nicely with  lighter denim too. Yay for versatility! :)

This is one of my favorite trends! Wild florals are really big, and with their crazy, yet somehow stylish, color combos, I think we will see even more of them in the spring. Because they are so attention-grabbing, it’s important to keep the rest of your outfit neutral.

Finally, smaller bags are on the rise. I happen to love this one; what’s the use for a big tote when you’re only carrying around a few items? Depending on your tastes, you can go with a solid or a pattern. Either way, your outfit will be complete!
