I read this poem a while back, and it has continued to stick with me. So, tonight, I thought I would share a little more about myself. Everything is completely random, but why shouldn’t we get to know our fellow bloggers better? :) If you want to leave your own answers, feel free to do a similar post on your blog, or even leave your responses in the comments!
“things that say a lot about people:
the way in which they treat the waiter/waitress
how they feel about the weather
whether they dog ear pages or highlight in books
fingernails
and hands in general
their preferred creative outlet
how much they dread/enjoy talking on the phone
whether or not they drink coffee
if they ever forget to eat
how honest they are with themselves (and others)
if they correct your grammar
and whether or not they get nervous before haircuts.”

1 // I treat waiters and waitresses with the respect I think anybody deserves. I am on the cautious side – there’s no need to share every detail of your life, but I know for a fact that a sincere thank you and a smile can go a long way. It bugs me when people treat anyone who works at a restaurant or café, or retail in general for that matter, like they are below them. They have a job to do, and I just wish some certain people would come to realize that.
2 // My favorite weather would have to be gray, rainy days. I do love sunshine, especially in the summer, but currently, overcast days inspire and motivate me. I do love a cold, wintery night too. Nothing can beat reading a book under layers and layers of blankets. Cold and heat extremes and I do not do well, on the other hand. We don’t need below zero degrees or close to 100 degrees, now do we?
I could really ramble on forever :)
3 // I am all sorts of OCD with my books. Dog-ears and highlighting just aren’t going to happen. When I do find a quote that I like, it’s marked and written down later.
4 // Ooh. Fingernails. I try to keep my fresh with nail polish every week, but for right now, they are polish-free with extremely dry cuticles. No fun.
5 // Hands. Hmmm. Mine are dry, but I do like my longer fingers. I am constantly amazed at how much we rely on our abilities to touch and grab things in our everyday lives. What would happen if we couldn’t use our hands at all for a day?
6 // Creativity and a way to express myself make up a huge part of my life. Whenever the need for a creative outlet occurs, I often find myself writing up blog posts, scribbling down short stories, or designing something on the computer or the old-fashioned way – with a good old pencil and paper :)
7 // I don’t particularly enjoy talking on the phone, but I don’t hate it all together. I won’t be the one to call up a friend to talk for an hour. I prefer to converse face-to-face, and when needed to, through texts.
8 // I have never tried coffee, and I don’t really want to at the moment. I want to try out tea though, so suggestions are welcome :)
9 // Forgetting to eat is pretty impossible for me. Having Type One Diabetes doesn’t really let me to miss lunch or forget breakfast.
10 // I try to be pretty honest with myself, but sometimes {especially when it comes to things out of my control or are absolutely crazy to think} I can stress myself out. With others, though, I can be honest, but I always try my best to do it in the nicest way possible.
11 // I correct people’s grammar all the time, it is not even funny. It’s not always to their face, but mentally, I do it all. day. long.
12 // I am totally fine with haircuts. It’s after the actual appointment when I begin to regret it. I’m growing it longer now, however, so that means a lot less haircuts for me!
Have a lovely night!
